Ashtanga yoga is a system of yoga transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (1915-2009). This class is a condensed version of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series as taught by Pattabhi Jois. There is a strong emphasis on the breath as the foundation of yoga. This sequence is a fluid and elegant synchronization of breath and movement creating a moving meditation that will leave you feeling alive, vibrant and aware. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind. Practitioners of all levels are welcome, as Pattabhi Jois said “Practice and all is coming.”

Em-Power Vinyasa is an eclectic blend of Hatha Yoga disciplines. This class is modified for everyone and includes flowing asana intermingled with held postures. Pranayam and Gong Meditation are also included in each class.
Beginning Yoga is suitable for all those who are interested in learning or reviewing the basics of Yoga and how it can benefit by creating greater mental and physical health. The class involves linking several poses together to create strength, flexibility, endurance, and balance in a safe step-by-step environment. Meditation and guided imagery is designed to increase awareness, clarity, and self-confidence.
The Chakra system is a model for the flow of energy that runs through all life and through the human energy system. This gentle form of Yoga recharges the energetic system of the body and naturally draws the mind inward into a relaxed, meditative state. The Chakras, seven energy points, are the key to physical health, emotional stability, and mental clarity. The class consists of guided imagery, basic yoga poses that support balance in the chakras, and meditation.
This class is suitable for all levels of experience and provides a gentle hatha flow practice that emphasizes maintaining the connection between the postures and the breath, balancing the body, mind, and spirit. Restorative poses during the second half of class will prepare the student to move through the rest of their day with calm, present moment awareness.
Yogasana means the physical practice of yoga giving a silent nudge to the other limbs of yoga which are practices apart from that of the body. This all-level class focuses on alignment, linking breath to movement, quieting the mind, and not taking life too seriously. Elise infuses her class with ample instruction and knowledge from an Iyengar, Viniyoga and Ashtanga background while emphasizing the importance of feeling and listening to the body’s own wisdom. In this class you will experience a deeper understanding of asana, a little yogic philosophy, some groovy tunes, lighthearted humor and, hopefully, a little bliss after a busy day.
Qigong is an ancient Chinese system of postures, exercises, breathing techniques, meditations. It circulates Qi/Chi (energy) to rejuvenate and revitalize your entire body.
Qigong teaches students how to work and play with the essence and energy of life, nature and the universe for healing, clarity and inner peace. Whatever your stage in life, whether you are a top level athlete or recovering from an illness, injury or anywhere in between, Qigong will work for you in this gentle moving energy practice.
Restorative yoga, also known as yin yoga, is a deeply relaxing class designed to release tension and calm the nervous system. With the gentle support of props, students passively stretch and energize the deep connective tissues of the body, open the joints and restore alignment. Restorative yoga compliments a more active practice because it improves flexibility, ease and balance. It is also beneficial for those recovering from injury or trauma. Vinyasa Flow yoga is a fluid and powerful class, interweaving breath, rhythm, energy movement and playfulness. The yoga of energy and transformation works at a moderate pace in the Vinyasa style, linking movement to breath, building heat, strength and flexibility. All levels welcome.

Pregnancy is an extraordinary time in a woman's life. During this 9 month journey she will go through dramatic transformations physically, emotionally and spiritually. Yoga is a wonderful way to prepare the body and mind for childbirth as well as guide one to their intuitive wisdom and strength within.
Each prenatal yoga class includes stretching, strengthening and breathing exercises, and meditation. We will sing, dance, and of course relax with the gong! All designed to uplift and inspire, allowing time to connect with your baby and each other.
Yoga helps children stay focused, mentally alert, and relaxed. Each Radiant Child class includes: interactive stories, songs, positive affirmations, creative movement and poses, and LOTS OF FUN! For ages 6-10.
